How to challenge this proposal

A proposal improves when someone finds where it fails. This page says what kind of criticism helps us most and how to get it to us.

What we are looking for

  • Counterexamples: projects where synchronizing the processes made things worse, or changed nothing.
  • Prior work: authors or approaches that already proposed the same thing and that we do not cite. If STD rediscovers something, we would rather know.
  • Definition problems: places where the proposal is ambiguous or where two principles contradict each other.
  • Observations of evolution: systems where something appeared that nobody had foreseen and where it can be traced back to its origin.
  • Results: if you measured any of what we propose in the observables section, even in a single project.

How to send it

For now the only channel is email, contacto@braidata.com, with «SyncThinkDesign» in the subject line. Iván Braida reads it. There is no form and no mailing list: we would rather not simulate a community that does not exist yet.

If at some point the author decides to open this site's repository, public discussion will move there, alongside proposed changes to the text. This page will say so when it happens.

What happens to a criticism

If a criticism changes the foundations or the formalization, the change goes into the version history of the affected page, with a description of what changed and why. If the person who sent it agrees, they are credited by name. We do not publish emails or quotes without explicit permission.

What we do not do

We do not publish testimonials, we do not invent collaborators and we do not present private conversations as backing for the proposal. If one day there are people or institutions working with STD, they will appear here by name and with their permission.
